I thought I would share this project with you. It’s taken us a while to complete, not because it’s difficult, but because it took us a while to source the parts needed (plus we’re slow and picky). We’ve needed bar stools for almost a year now and were on the lookout for a while, but never found anything we liked. Last summer Anthony found four mid century swivel stools on Craigslist that we couldn’t pass up. The seats were beat up, but the bases were ideal. They just needed a little scrubbin’ and new tops. Last month I had Hedge House create custom wood tops for our bases. Once the wood came in we took off the old tops, gave the swivels a good oiling then screwed on the new tops. Anthony finished up the stools with a little filing and added new rubber end caps. Good as new, if not better!
