I wanted to share my favorite beauty products with you today. Last year I decided to take the plunge and invest in better products, and boy am I glad I did (why did it take me so long?). The price of beauty products can be startling, so I took baby steps when buying. First, I started with moisturizer and foundation then slowly added to my collection. These prices can seem steep (they are!), but they are definitely worth it (promise!). My skin has never looked better!
Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation: After I wash my face in the morning (with this) I apply a small amount of sheer transformation moisturizer. It’s great for my acne-prone skin. It’s lightweight, smooths out fine lines (seriously!) and leaves my skin feeling soft and silky! This also works well under makeup (always a plus).
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer: If you don’t use a foundation primer… Well, you really should! Primer creates a layer to prevent makeup from seeping into your pores, insuring a flawless look. It also helps your makeup last longer. Laura Mercier primer makes my skin look healthy and smooth! This primer is also wonderful too.
Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation: Okay, if you are anything like me, spending forty dollars on foundation will be hard to stomach, but I must tell you, this shit is goooood! A little goes a long way with this foundation- I’ve had mine for months and it looks brand new (I use it everyday btw). Some days I will sweep a teensy bit across my face to even out my skin tone and other days I will build on it to create a more flawless look. I really can’t recommend this product enough!
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray: One thing I really hate about makeup is how quickly it seems to fade from my face! After reading rave reviews about this setting spray, I had to give it a whirl. It keeps your makeup in place, for get this- a whopping sixteen hours! I’ve gone days (very few) without spritzing my face with it and boy was I sorry I did because my makeup did not last throughout the day. This spray also hydrates and gives you a nice glow! If you must choose between this and primer though, go for the primer. This is not a necessity, but it is pretty swell!
DiorShow Mascara: This mascara has a cult following, and after a few uses, I understood why. The brush is perfection and the mascara goes on smooth- no more flakes and clumps. This is also a great mascara and a little more affordable.
Josie Maran Argan Oil: I bought my sister a naked palette (this is a must!) for Christmas from Sephora and got all these great samples with the order. It was through the samples that I found the legendary argan oil. As soon as I ran out of my sample, I ordered a bottle online! I mostly use the oil as a daily moisturizer (it’s so great during these colder months- my skin eats it up!). I also use it for my cuticles and apply it to the ends of my hair. I know you may think oil would leave you all, well, oily, but it doesn’t! The oil absorbs quickly, leaving the skin nourished and glowing!
I hope you find these recommendations helpful! I will share my favorite hair products with you soon!
